Physicians Affidavit

County of Lawrence

"In the matter of pension claim of Sarah M. Stewart, widow of Abijah Stewart late of Co. E 1st. Tenn LIght Art.
On this 6th day of April 1891, personally appeared before me a Notary Public within and for the County and State aforesaid Dr. E. P. Hansard, who being duty sworn declares that his age is 48 Years that he has been a practicing physician for 20 years, that he first became acquainted with Abijah Stewart about the year 1888 that his physical condition was as follows:
"I first saw him March 12th 1888. He had Chronic diarrhea. He was also very much jaundiced & states that he has been so for some years. He did March 19 - 1888. I considered this immediate cause of his death"
He further declares that his postoffice address is Pierce City, Lawrence County, Missouri, That he has no interest in this claim and is not concerned in its prosecution.
