Charley Edward Bough, 92, of Wellington, formerly of Wichita, died Friday, March 20, 1998. He was born April 2, 1906, to Thomas J. and Bertha A. Bough of Stockton, Mo. He married Iva Karnes of Pittsburg on October 31, 1932, at Nevada, Mo. She preceded him in death on Sept. 29, 1996. He was a former resident of the Pittsburg area. Survivors inlcude two sons, Larry Bough and Tommy Bough, both of Kingman; eight daughters, Elsie Bosley, Evylene Kackley and Sharon Gonzalez, all of Wichita, Juanita Bosley of Fall River, Margaret Merz of Kingman, Sherry Upton of Wellington, Kathlene Ewald of Enid, Okla, and Alice Eagerton of Florence, Ala.; a brother, Sammie D. Bough of Pittsburg; 52 grandchildren; 115 great-grandchildren; and 28 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers; four sisters; a son, Charley E. Bough Jr.; and a granddaughter. Graveside services were 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Prairie Lawn Cemetery at Wellington.

Iva Bell Bough, 78, of Wichita, died at 11:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, 1996, at the Kansas Masonic Home at Wichita. She was born June 22, 1918, at Pittsburg, to William H. and Millie Mae Meeks Karnes. She married Charley Bough on Oct. 31, 1932 at Nevada, Mo. Mrs. Bough was a homemaker. She was a member of the Westside Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons, Larry Bough of Cleveland, and Tommy Bough of Kingman; eight daughters, Elsie Bosley, Juanita Bosley, Evylene Kackley, and Sharon Gonzales, all of Wichita, Margaret Ewald of Enid, Okla., Alice Eagerton of Florence, Ala., and Sherry Upton of Wellington; a brother, Henry Karnes of Pittsburg; three sisters, Leona Ferris and Opal Smith, both of Pittsburg, and Viola Green of Joplin; 52 grandchildren; 97 great-grandchildren; and 35 great-great grandchildren. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Prairie Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Bob McGuire of the First Baptist Church of Wellington officiating.
