| A Well Known Tilden Citizen Crosses Beyond Word was received here the last of last week announcing the passing of one of Tilden's oldest and highly respected citizens in the person of Mr. Robert McKinley who died in his home in that village, Thursday Dec 20, at the advanced abe of 82 years, 5 months, and 1 day. The funeral services were held from the Tilden U.P. Church, Sunday afternoon, with the Rev. R. M. Sturgeon officiating. These services were largely attended showing in a measure the high esteem in which Mr. McKinley was held by his follow townsmen. Interment was made in Tilden cemetery. Mr. McKinley is survived by his widow and five sons, John, Sam, and Charles of Tilden; Len of Belleville, and Jas. H. of Marissa who mourn the loss of a devoted husband and a fond parent.
