In answer to your letter of Inquiry, as to fact He took Sick on or about August 1865 with fever At Memphis Tennessee, was not able for duty, Continued Sick until about the 26' 1865 of August. He was then taken with Running of Bowels, Diarrhea called Bloody Piles, from Being exposed In the wet. Settled in his head and affected his Hearing. Continued getting worse. Rheumatism With Severe Pains, Set in I Know the above As I Served in Company "B" 152" Regt. Ill At the same time.

Obituary
A Well Known Tilden Citizen Crosses Beyond Word was received here the last of last week announcing the passing of one of Tilden's oldest and highly respected citizens in the person of Mr. Robert McKinley who died in his home in that village, Thursday Dec 20, at the advanced abe of 82 years, 5 months, and 1 day. The funeral services were held from the Tilden U.P. Church, Sunday afternoon, with the Rev. R. M. Sturgeon officiating. These services were largely attended showing in a measure the high esteem in which Mr. McKinley was held by his follow townsmen. Interment was made in Tilden cemetery. Mr. McKinley is survived by his widow and five sons, John, Sam, and Charles of Tilden; Len of Belleville, and Jas. H. of Marissa who mourn the loss of a devoted husband and a fond parent. Obituary Notes for Sarah (Spouse 1)
Mrs. Robert McKinley of Tilden died Monday after a lingering illness. She was
one of the oldest people of the county. She was a sister of Mrs. J. N. Wright
of this city and who is in Tilden. The funeral of the deceased will take place
today. - The Plaindealer, October 1909

Mrs. McKinley Dead
Died, Mrs. Sarah McKinley at her home in Tilden, Ill., Oct. 18th, 1909, in the
68th year of her age. Ms. McKinley was the daughter of Wm. And Susan McKee and
was born in New York City in the year 1841, and removed in childhood with her
parents to Illinois, where she has since lived. She was married to Robert
McKinley, Oct. 10th, 1861, and has been his constant helpmeet ever since. To
this union eight children were born, six of whom are still living, and with
their father mourn the loss of a kind and loving wife and mother. Mrs. McKinley
was a life long member by baptism and confession of the United Presbyterian
denomination, being zealously devoted to her church and to the L.M.S., of which
she was an active member and never absent from their services except o account
of illness. Her last illness was very severe, though brief, but she bore her
sufferings with Christian patience and the end was peace. Her's was a long
pilgrimage and at its end she found not death, but life, life everlasting.
"Blessed Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 20th, conducted by her
pastor, Rev. H. Rabb, assisted by Rev Nickerson, of the M. E. church.
